Who We Are
The Digital Shelf and Conversion team at L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) helps shoppers find, understand, and purchase our brands across retailer websites. We use data and shopper insights to improve digital shelf health, strengthen product detail pages, and optimize the online journey across retail partners such as Walmart, Target, and Ulta.
The Opportunity & Your Impact
As the E-Commerce Lead for L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, you will set the strategic direction for the e-commerce channel and lead the team responsible for building its growth across key retail partners, including Walmart, Target, and Ulta. You will connect divisional and brand priorities to retailer-specific plans—aligning channel development, digital merchandising, and conversion-focused execution to make it easier for shoppers to discover and purchase our brands online. You will lead the channel’s long-range planning, growth projections, and performance agenda, using data and retailer insights to identify opportunities, set priorities, and measure impact. As the senior cross-functional partner for e-commerce, you will bring together Account Sales, Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Category Development, Medical, CDMO/CDAO, and other teams to remove barriers and advance shared priorities. You will also help LDB prepare for what’s next: strengthening marketplace governance, assessing emerging platforms and partnership opportunities, improving data capabilities, and building the tools and skills the organization needs to keep evolving. Through clear leadership, practical strategy, and strong follow-through, you will establish e-commerce as a meaningful vehicle for growth for LDB and its brands.

• Connects insights to activation: Works closely with Category Development and Media teams to translate category, shopper, and retailer insights into effective activation strategies.
• Uses retailer platforms effectively: Understands how retailer portals and tools—such as Scintilla and Unify+—can support performance visibility, planning, and execution.
Key Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Growth
• Channel Advocacy: Establish the E-commerce channel as a vehicle for growth; represent channel performance in leadership presentations and Sales Summits.
• Planning: Lead the 3-Year Plan (3YP) and growth projections, translating high-level business goals into actionable workstreams for the team.
• Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as the primary engagement lead for Commercial Teams, bridging the gap between digital strategies and broader divisional needs.
• Insights: Lead “R.Com x Category" deep dives and
Governance, Risk & Performance Intelligence
• 3P Marketplace Governance: Develop and execute 3P mitigation strategies across multiple marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) to protect brand equity and sales.
• Competitive Intelligence: Establish workstreams for competitive tracking, industry evolution, and "white space" opportunity assessments.
• Performance Accountability: Define the metrics for success; oversee the measurement of LDB mass share, "Hero", and segmentation.
Innovation & Future-Proofing
• New Frontier Readiness: Lead the roadmap for emerging platforms (Instacart, Shipt, DoorDash) and secure authorized reseller partnerships.
• Data Roadmap: Audit data gaps and lead the operational roadmap to improve data acquisition and "test-and-learn" methodologies.
• Strategic Evolution: Identify long-term industry shifts and proactively pivot the team’s strategy to maintain a competitive advantage.
Organizational Capability & Team Development
• Upskilling & Enablement: Build playbooks and lead upskilling sessions to elevate transversal capabilities
• Organizational clarity: Provide regular updates to ensure alignment, clarity on priorities, and the removal of operational roadblocks.
• Tool Championship: Act as the primary partner for CDMO/CDAO; champion team needs, advocate for tool adoption, and lead use-case development across the organization.
Background & Experience Requirements
Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
Professional Experience
• 10–15+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, site analytics, or a related area within a CPG/FMCG environment.
• Experience analyzing retailer e-commerce performance, online market share, conversion, user journey mapping, UX, sentiment, and coordinating improvements is preferred.
• Comfortable with establishing new processes and creating a framework for prioritization
• Proven track record of cross-functional partnership and has excellent communication
Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience with large data sets, digital metrics, SEO/GEO, and shopper feedback platforms.
• Power user of analytics tools and champions team adoption
• Confident to manipulate and leverage data from internal and 3P owned data to support claims.
