What You Will Do:
As the Platform Services Lead, you will drive the strategic transformation of L’Oréal’s Data, Analytics, and AI ecosystem from isolated silos into a high-performing, mutualized Platform Services organization. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for defining architectural governance, scaling enterprise platform capabilities, and streamlining Developer Experience (DevX) across all tech hubs.
Your primary mission is to empower Americas delivery teams to build secure, compliant, cost-aware, and sustainable AI and Data products at scale—making the compliant path the default and seamless choice for engineers and citizen developers alike.
STRATEGIC MISSION & SHIFT
You will take reigns of the ongoing fundamental operating shift within Beauty Tech:
• Architecture & Governance: Establish clear enterprise standards, reference patterns, and Trustworthy AI frameworks in close partnership with global team.
• Platform Enablement: Ensure platforms are reliable, accessible, and operationally sound across:
• Beauty Tech Data Platform (BTDP)
• Beauty Tech Agentic Platform (BTAP)
• Power BI, Looker, Pencil, and other regionally owned Data & AI SaaS platforms.
• DevX & AI-Powered SDLC: Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) acceleration through modern AI tools and automated developer workflows.
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DOMAINS OF LEADERSHIP
1. Strategic Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-caliber team across three core verticals: Solution Architecture & Governance, Platform Enablement, and DevX Framework.
• Define and execute the roadmap for the Platform Services Catalogue, establishing clear operational guardrails and a seamless "License to Operate" for regional delivery teams.
• Oversee resource allocation, vendor ecosystems, and talent development across local and international tech hubs with the platform pillar.
• Present regularly to VP and C Level leaders on platform evolutions, health and AI driven SDLC topics.
2. Solution Architecture & Governance
• Establish reference architecture patterns, building blocks, and integration standards across Data, Analytics, and AI (BTDP, BTAP, PowerBI and others).
• Orchestrate and Lead technical design of Data Analytics Platform Authority (DAPA) and Design Authority (DA) presentations for all Americas Data, Analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams—including Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Privacy—through the AI Council to govern Trustworthy AI assessments, embed security and privacy by design, and mitigate AI-related risks.
• Institutionalize FinOps, SecOps and GreenOps foundational practices to ensure sustainable, cost-optimized cloud and AI growth.
3. Enterprise Platform Enablement & Operations
• Deliver a secure, resilient platform foundation covering end to end aspects such as IAM, Security, Billing, and lifecycle management (GCP, Power BI, Looker, Pencil, etc.).
• Co-build and harmonize platform services with Global Beauty Tech, accelerating delivery velocity for both professional developers and citizen creators.
• Drive operational excellence across SecOps, FinOps, and platform support through a dedicated Center of Excellence (COE).
• Enable advanced AI/Data capabilities for Citizen Developers while maintaining structural safety and governance, under the “License To Operate” model.
4. Developer Experience (DevX) & AI SDLC Acceleration
• Turn enterprise standards into scalable delivery assets, golden-path templates, and developer tooling (Leveraging tools like Figma, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, MCPs etc.).
• Embed security, compliance, and automated testing directly into CI/CD pipelines to frictionlessly guide engineering teams toward best practices.
What We Are Looking For:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• This is an AVP level role in the US.
• Experience: 14+ years in IT/Engineering leadership, with a proven track record of managing enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI platforms at scale.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of modern Data & AI cloud architecture (GCP highly preferred, Azure, or AWS), MLOps/AgentOps, FinOps/GreenOps, and modern AI SDLC tooling.
• Transformational Leadership: Demonstrated experience shifting engineering organizations from siloed execution to mutualized, platform-as-a-service models.
• Governance & Trust: Solid understanding of Trustworthy AI, data security, privacy compliance, and enterprise risk management.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge complex technical decisions with executive strategy and business impact.

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
Salary Range : $147,100 - $213,300 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
