Our approach to skin care involves meticulous attention to detail, using only the most efficacious ingredients to create formulations which stir the self and senses. The same meticulous approach is taken during our recruitment process, seeking out considered and inspired individuals with a wealth of perspectives who bring out the best in themselves and others. We aim to strike the right balance between people, planet and profit, actively reducing our footprint on the planet that generously sustains us. So far, this journey has led us to become a certified B Corp. We are committed to building a more sustainable and inclusive society. Role purpose At Aesop, we believe in cultivating exceptional experiences, and as a Seasonal Retail Consultant, you are at the heart of it, introducing and selling our products through genuine and personalized conversations. We seek individuals whose passion for our brand and its unique values drives them to connect authentically, master the art of storytelling, and deliver unparalleled experiences. If you are customer-focused, commercially driven, eager to contribute to a dynamic retail environment, and committed to personal growth, we invite you to join us! The successful applicant will have flexible availability and will be required to work weekends. This is a contract position with an end date of January 16, 2027. Candidates must be available between November 1– January 16, 2027, vacation will not be accommodated during this time. Full availability will be required during specific weekend dates. The Role in Action Customer Experience • The master of storytelling, connect with customers and understand their needs and projecting products into their world • Craft the exceptional and personalized customer journey with Aesop’s unique approach, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to thoughtful product demonstrations and regimen building • Confidently lead customers to the sink/fragrance area with their hands, body and words and demonstrates recommended products on the customer’s hand • Ensure a memorable departure and build lasting relationship, through attentive service, offer full regimens to provided samples and conclude the interaction with a warm invitation to return • Embody Aesop's values in all actions, seeking support for continuous improvement. Execute Retail Essentials • Adhere to Aesop’s grooming guidelines and uphold our retail standards, ensuring the "five senses" experience is consistently delivered. • Diligently complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks. What you will bring • Experience successfully working as part of a customer-focused team, ideally within retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences. • A merchant mindset, both customer-focused and commercially driven • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations. • A deep passion for selling premium products and an excitement for Aesop's offerings, including skincare and fragrance. • Physical Environment: Must be able to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down a flight of stairs and/or ladder as necessary, and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis is required. No immigration support/sponsorship offered for this role. What’s on offer • Hourly rate of $19.10 • Generous product discount Don’t meet every single requirement? At L'Oréal, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and innovative workplace. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the qualifications listed in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways! You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles! We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and take pride in a diverse environment. We would love to find out more about you as a candidate and do not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, or other employment practices for reasons of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, medical condition or disability, or any other legally protected status.
