The Senior Manager, Trade Marketing & Specialized Channels establishes commercial brand standards, tools, materials, logistics, and optimization frameworks in alignment with overall brand strategy and image. This role is both strategic and execution-oriented, translating brand strategy into commercially relevant programs, tools, and ways of working that support business objectives across channels and routes to market. The role is responsible for driving trade marketing effectiveness through strong cross-functional leadership, disciplined project management, and thoughtful resource deployment. This individual will lead the development and optimization of tools, processes, and commercial resources that enable success for specialized selling teams and partner RTMs, with particular focus on On Premise 3+1 subchannel strategy, portfolio architecture, and serve strategy. The Senior Manager also serves as a key PMO lead across priority trade marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment, readiness, and execution across Brand, Commercial, Operations, agencies, and external partners. In addition, this role partners closely with Brand teams on VAP, PromoPack, and LTO development, refreshes and assesses the Trade Portal to ensure it remains an effective commercial resource, and owns the Commercial Marketing bulletin and program grid, aligning with Commercial Enablement on annual and quarterly KPIs for selling teams. Office/Location: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office Compensation: $130,000-$163,000/ Annually + Bonus • Own the Commercial Marketing bulletin and program grid, ensuring clear, consistent communication of priorities, tools, timelines, and programming across the commercial organization. • Align with Commercial Enablement on annual and quarterly KPIs for selling teams, ensuring commercial communications and program tracking support broader business objectives. Trade Marketing Strategy and Experience Design • Translate brand strategy and platform into commercial brand standards, tactical guidelines, and activation frameworks that are relevant across channels, subchannels, and routes to market. • Partner closely with Brand teams to develop commercially effective program concepts grounded in consumer, customer, shopper, and category insights. • Collaborate with Brand teams on the development and commercialization of VAP, PromoPack, and LTOs, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, commercial priorities, and execution feasibility. • Build and refine portfolio-wide trade marketing tools, playbooks, and selling resources that support execution in market. • Advance the On Premise 3+1 subchannel strategy, including development of subchannel-specific tools, commercial guidance, and portfolio architecture. • Support the definition and articulation of portfolio architecture and serve strategy, ensuring resources clearly communicate brand roles, occasion relevance, and execution standards. • Create and update reference materials for internal teams, distributors, and partner RTMs covering brand heritage, craftsmanship, portfolio, and perfect serve principles. • Refine account-facing tools and commercial playbooks to strengthen execution across On Premise, Off Premise, and priority market initiatives. Resource Deployment and PMO • Serve as PMO lead across key trade marketing initiatives, ensuring clear governance, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, and execution readiness. • Organize and manage portfolio resource development across internal stakeholders and agency partners, ensuring the right tools are developed and deployed against business priorities. • Assess business needs and allocate trade marketing resources to support role-specific success for specialized selling teams and partner RTMs. • Develop frameworks for resource prioritization and deployment to improve commercial effectiveness and reduce duplication. • Track project progress against key milestones and ensure timely communication of risks, dependencies, and decisions. • Support the refresh and innovation of key MHUSA processes, including trade marketing communications, POSM, and route-to-market support tools. POSM and Commercial Tools • Overhaul POSM strategy and investment approach, identifying opportunities to optimize A&P efficiency and commercial impact. • Create and maintain MHUSA POSM guidelines for Maison and internal stakeholder use. • Evolve POSM processes from ideation through placement, establishing a clearer strategic framework and more efficient ways of working. • Act as liaison to Administration for the POSM ordering platform and serve as a subject matter expert on related internal processes across Brand, Procurement, Operations, and Internal Control. • Evolve weekly POSM reporting, improve visibility into readiness and performance, and identify opportunities for automation. • Support the development of channel-specific merchandising guidelines and selling resources aligned to portfolio and subchannel strategy. Systems, Platforms, and Commercial Communications Refresh, assess, and optimize the Trade Portal to ensure it remains a relevant, user-friendly, and effective resource for commercial teams, distributors, and partner RTMs. Oversee internal resource platforms, including asset performance tracking, training support, user access, and required updates in partnership with IT and relevant stakeholders. Collaborate on product information management processes and oversee the integrity of data flowing from Maison teams into internal commercial platforms. Own and maintain relevant planning models and system processes related to POSM and trade marketing resource planning, including updates and user training as needed. Own the Commercial Marketing bulletin and program grid, ensuring clear, consistent communication of priorities, tools, timelines, and programming across the commercial organization. Align with Commercial Enablement on annual and quarterly KPIs for selling teams, ensuring commercial communications and program tracking support broader business objectives. Portfolio and Commercial Support Develop and optimize tools supporting new and evolving routes to market, including redistribution of POSM, merchandising guidelines, and channel-specific selling resources. Establish structure and cadence for ROI assessment of key quarterly programs and commercial initiatives. Assess and evolve portfolio resources based on the needs of the Commercial Sales organization, specialized selling teams, and partner RTMs. Lead onboarding for new team members and stakeholders on trade marketing systems, tools, agencies, and core processes. Support General Sales Meeting content and broader commercial readiness materials for top 10 markets. Annual Planning Partner on the annual planning process, ensuring below-the-line materials planning is aligned holistically with Maison and MHUSA annual and three-year timelines. Support prioritization of trade marketing initiatives and resource needs within annual planning cycles. Ensure planning outputs translate into clear project plans, resource requirements, and execution timelines. Internal and External Relationship Management Collaborate closely with Brand teams to translate strategies into commercial guidelines, program hooks, and visibility standards. Act as a key connector across Brand, Commercial, Customer Programming, Commercial Enablement, Operations, agencies, and partner RTMs. Partner with subchannel and customer programming leads to ensure playbooks and programs are aligned with brand strategy and business objectives. Work with Consumer Insights to distill relevant trends and incorporate them into commercial program development and trade-facing tools. Share best practices across Brand teams, Field Marketing, Customer Programming, and the broader portfolio. Communication and Execution Governance Serve as a primary liaison between Brand and Commercial teams for below-the-line materials, project readiness, and execution planning. Serve on Partner Operating Committees and Distributor Workstreams Establish and manage project timelines, milestones, and review cadences to ensure stakeholder alignment and on-time delivery. Communicate plans, tools, priorities, and updates clearly across functions to support execution excellence. Education : Bachelor’s Degree Required Professional Experience & Skills: • 10+ years of marketing or creative marketing experience in consumer-packaged goods, luxury environment, and / or subchannel • Broad, Enterprise thinking and ability to ‘zoom out’ to propose solutions in efficiency and progress • Disruptive and Innovative thinking and comfort working ‘outside the box’ Comfort in challenging current processes and norms to create new models of efficiency • Ability to move between strategic large picture endeavors and maintain details across a large team • Strong business/commercial strategy experience.
